About the Organiser

The National Computer Board (NCB) was set up in 1988 and is a Government body operating under the aegis of the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation. The NCBs core mission is to foster the development of ICT in Mauritius and accelerate the transformation of Mauritius into a regional ICT hub, in line with Government vision to make of ICT an important pillar of the economy.

To achieve its objectives, the NCB implements a three-pronged strategy directed at e-powering people, e-powering businesses and e-powering the public sector.

As a facilitator for the development of the ICT Industry in Mauritius, the NCB organises ICT Exhibitions, Conferences and Events on a regular basis. The NCB has successfully organised 25 editions of the Infotech Exhibition & Conference. As from this year, Infotech has been re-branded as InnovTech.

The NCB and Mauritius IT Industry Association (MITIA) jointly organised 2 editions of ProIT, the only B2B ICT Exhibition and Conference in Mauritius, with the objective to provide a networking and meeting platform between ICT service providers and the business community.

NCB also organises the participation of Mauritius in various international promotional events such as SECA (Strategies Clients) in France and Outsource World in London & New York.

Furthermore, the NCB has also organised 8 editions of ICT Expo which was held at Rivière des Anguilles, Rivière du Rempart, Flacq, Rose Belle, Goodlands, Bel Air, Saint Pierre and Quatre Bornes. Some 50,000 people visited all 8 editions of ICT Expo.
